With today’s drive to Key West, I’ve now visited four corners of the US: Bar Harbor, ME; Bellingham, WA; San Diego, CA; and, KW, FL. A quick trip to be sure, and difficult to form accurate impressions, but Old Town definitely was preferable to the shtick of the waterfront where cruise boats dock. Maybe lunch at El Siboney, a terrific Cuban diner, had something to do with that….
On the way out of town, we found the origination of US 1, a road we traveled often during our Laurel days. Who knew highways had starting points? And does that mean there’s an end to US 1 somewhere up north? If so, it’s no doubt under snow at this very moment.
